All I seem to do these days is knit, play Guitar Hero II and wait for the days when I can drive. And after last night's Top Gear I desperately want to win the lottery so I can get myself a Porsche 911 and find myself a stretch of road somewhere. Nick and I will not be winning the lottery any time soon, because the day after we both got new jobs, the BBC phoned me up to offer me tickets to the filming of the last episode of the current series. As Nick didn't start until today, and the filming was yesterday, I begged a day off and we went to Surrey.

In other news, I have now done 10 hours of driving lessons. Things of note:

1. Hill starts are fun.
2. Not using any pedals at all when going down a 12% incline is fun.
